"Young couples and families establishing a home"
NORTH COAST TIMES is distributed each Tuesday to some of Perth’s fastest growing northern suburbs in the City of Wanneroo as well as Burns Beach and Kinross in the City of Joondalup
The clear majority of dwellings are being purchased, with first home buyers attracted to the area’s affordable housing and coastal lifestyle. Two thirds of the population is aged under 40 years and 44% of residents moved into the area in the last 5 years.
The majority of homes (95%) are separate houses, while families with young children and working couples are the dominant household types in this growing community. North Coast Times area is also home to a very significant UK born population (almost a quarter of residents were born in UK/Ireland).
For those in the workforce, professional/white collar occupations are most common followed by technical and trades. The area will continue to develop as new housing and infrastructure is established to accommodate the growing population.
