WESTFIELD Carousel’s $350 million |redevelopment has provided construction work for 1300 people since it began |in February according to regional manager Kate Holsgrove.

The redevelopment, due to be completed in the third quarter of 2018, will be the largest shopping centre in WA, |expected to provide employment for hundreds of people in new retail jobs.

On completion the centre will be bigger than it’s current 82,000sqm footprint, increasing in size to approximately 110,000sqm.

Mrs Holsgrove said a new multi-deck carpark would open in November this year and fashion and dining areas would open late next year.

“A new David Jones department store will anchor a new fashion mall that will be home to more than 60 international and local fashion brands and an open-air leisure area. It is a really exciting development for the City of Canning as well as broader WA,” she said.

A lifestyle and entertainment precinct will be created on the centre’s rooftop with a refurbished 14-screen Hoyts cinema complex and 12 restaurants.
