CANNING Vale family daycare provider Leanne Dowsett’s quality of care was recognised a second year in a row for her focus on the wellbeing of children by allowing naps outdoors and teaching yoga.
Ms Dowsett started her daycare service 12 years ago and last year won State Educator of the Year for Family Daycare Australia.
She recently was named Regional Educator of the Year for Fremantle and Southern Suburbs, putting her in the running for state recognition once again.
“I form close bonds with the families and have a real focus on kids’ mental health with yoga, downtime and getting back to nature,” she said.
