Basketball WA head coach of the under-16 Metro Women’s squad, Robyn Winter, said Hannah and Sarah had competed for the positions against 50 other players.

“It was an awesome effort on their behalf. To make the top 15 is a great effort,” she said.

Mrs Winter, who is also an association coach, said the young players not only had busy State squad training schedules but commitments at WA Basketball League and club levels.

“They are busy kids dedicated to their sport. It is a credit to them – they work hard.”
