Hobby claimed heats with star duo Monaro Monelli and Penny Monelli.
Monaro Monelli looked back to his best when he saluted for the first time since taking out the Group 3 Mandurah Cup inmid-October.
The speedster bounced straight to the lead from the rails alley and didn’t give his rivals a look-in as he set a cracking pace on the bunny before crossing the line nearly five lengths ahead in 29.93.
Penny Monelli was equally impressive in her heat, leading all-the-way from box seven and like her kennelmate she also stopped the clock at 29.93.
