Former Fremantle Dockers star Steven Dodd returns to Lynwood Ferndale

LYNWOOD Ferndale Football Club have appointed former Fremantle Docker Steven Dodd as its league player/coach for 2017.

Dodd played all his junior football for Lynwood Ferndale before progressing to East Fremantle colts and being drafted by the Dockers in the 2003 rookie draft.

He debuted in 2004 against Geelong and went on play 101 AFL games over eight seasons with the Dockers.

After finishing his career with Fremantle, he returned to his WAFL club East Fremantle and finished with 119 WAFL games – including four state games and winning East Fremantle’s Fairest and Best in 2012.

Dodd said he was looking forward to bringing his experience back to where it all started and helping the Panthers climb the ladder in 2017.

Lynwood Ferndale is looking for colts and senior players for 2017 and welcome players of all abilities.

Pre-season training starts on Thursday, January 12 at 6pm at Ferndale Park.
