Willetton Football Club registration day for male and female seniors

Pia van StraalenCanning Gazette

THE Willetton Football Club is holding a registration day on Sunday January 8 and encourages prospective and current footballers to come down and sign up.

From 11am to 1pm at the Willetton Community and Sports Centre on Burrendah Boulevard, male and female senior and colts players can meet the committee and coaches to learn about the 2017 season, including pre-season training.

The club has also extended an invitation to players with an interest in the future of the Club to attend and hear the committee’s strategic plan for 2017 – 2021.

Club president Damian Chandler said it was a great opportunity for the wider community to become involved in the club and help get sides for women and people with a disability off the ground.

“The committee has been hard at work over the past few months developing a long term plan for the future of the club,” he said.

“We are exploring a number of different opportunities including both women’s football and integrated football for players with intellectual disabilities, increasing family involvement, and upgrading some of our facilities.”
