HARMONY Primary School students have high hopes for their upcoming musical production Seussical.

Based on the ever-popular stories by Dr. Seuss, Seussical will follow Horton Hears a Who.

The school’s fourth musical performance was chosen for its powerful messages of friendship, loyalty, family and community.

Under direction from music teacher Sheela Sudhakaran, more than 60 choir members from years 4, 5 and 6 will take part in the performance.

The students have spent the past two terms rehearsing and have learned 34 songs altogether.

Principal Lea Hadley said the musical was a collaboration between Harmony Primary School and Atwell College.

“Atwell College has provided sound, lighting, props and the performing arts space for the production,” he said.

Seussical will be performed at Atwell College Performance Centre on October 17 and 19.
