Cockburn man charged over alleged armed robbery with knife

POLICE yesterday charged a man who allegedly held up service stations in Perth’s southern suburbs in August and September.

Officers allege the 27-year-old Cockburn man first targeted a North Lake Road outlet in South Lake about 12.45am on August 17.

He is accused of threatening staff with a knife before fleeing with cash.

He allegedly again used a knife to threaten staff at an Armadale Road fuel stop in Jandakot at 10.10pm on September 20.

The man is accused of stealing the till from the store.

Investigators charged the man with two counts of armed robbery.

He is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court today.
