Man charged over fatal Banjup accident

A 21-year-old man has been charged over a fatal road smash in Banjup yesterday.

The collision occurred about 3.50pm and involved a white Caterpillar truck, a silver Toyota Camry and a white Hino truck at the intersection of Jandakot and Warton roads.

A 66-year-old male, who was a passenger in the Toyota, died at the scene.

The male driver (22) and another male passenger (69) in the Toyota suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hino truck has been charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

He will appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
