Pakistan will use the three-day day-night match as a warm-up to its day-night Test match against Australia at the Gabba a week later.

Carder, who has averaged 41 during the Port Boys’ great start to the WACA Premier Cricket season, will join a squad of 12 brimming with talent.

Among them is skipper and fellow West Australian Will Bosisto, who has featured in the Sheffield Shield this season.

Former Australian international Brad Hodge will coach the side, with National Cricket Centre head coach Troy Cooley his deputy.

“This is a really exciting challenge for these players to test themselves against a world-class opponent in Pakistan,” Cooley said.

“Every member of this squad has played First Class, List A or Futures League cricket in the past 12 months, and we are confident that this opportunity will benefit these players as they look to press their claims for state selection, and hopefully in years to come, national honours.”

The squad will train in Cairns on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the match at Cazaly’s Stadium.
