The Edith Cowan University visual arts graduate said she picked up her pencils and paintbrushes again mid-last year after a life-changing event.

‘I got through it by drawing and painting portraiture and reflecting on the lives that I was painting,’ she said.

‘After drawing and painting intensively over the past year I have now acquired a large body of work.’

Goddard said her work drew on themes including multiculturalism, religion, consumerism and motherhood.

Childlike runs until this Thursday at Kurb, 312A William Street, Northbridge.
