130 handguns stolen in Beckenham burglary

POLICE are investigating the theft of more than 130 handguns in a burglary at a business in Clapham Street, Beckenham, between Saturday March 11 and Sunday March 12.

Between 10:20pm and 2:50am, the offenders broke into the premises and stole more than 130 guns, according to police.

The firearms stolen are all handguns and are believed to be stored in cases similar to those in the above stock photographs.

It is believed the offenders were travelling in a Holden HSV GTS sedan, dark in colour similar to one the pictured.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw a vehicle matching this description between 5 March and 13 March 2017.

Police would also like anyone with information about the incident or know someone who is in possession of a large number of handguns to contact police immediately on 131444.
