Boys in court after allegedly riding motorbike through junior soccer games

THREE boys have been charged after allegedly riding a motorcycle on to an Armadale park as junior soccer games were being played, and brandishing a knife yesterday.

Police allege that at approximately 10.15am, two 13-year-olds and a 12-year-old rode a red motorcycle at speed on to Morgan Park where a number of soccer matches were being played.

At one point, the boys rode the motorcycle near a spectator, stealing her bag.

As they attempted to leave the area, a number of witnesses tried to apprehend the boys, during which one of the boys produced a large knife and threatened witnesses.

The boys fled the park and were located shortly after by police in Armadale and Brookdale residences.

A 13-year-old boy from Brookdale, 12-year-old boy from Armadale and 13-year-old boy from Armadale have been charged with a variety of offences, including stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated armed robbery and acts or omissions likely to endanger life, health or safety.

They will appear in the Perth Children’s Court today.
