Armadale bowled out for just 99 in first-grade cricket clash with East Fremantle

ARMADALE took on East Fremantle in their first-grade clash to start the New Year.

They won the toss and sent East Freo in, which looked to be a bad decision when East Freo cruised to 1-58.

A quick three wickets saw Armadale back on top at 4-59, but East Freo steadied and finished on 185.

Chad Forsyth was the star, taking 5-21, while Damian Carroll took 2-29.

Chad Forsyth was again the best of the bunch, making 28.

Third Grade also played East Fremantle, which batted first and made 197.

Nathan Duggan and Paul Edwards both took two wickets.

Armadale got off to a disastrous start to be 3-3, but fought back well to be a chance at 4-84, thanks to Dean Yetton (32) and Vishwas Lall (30).

But it all fell away again thereafter, with Armadale dismissed for 129.
