Cricket: former Gosnells star D’Arcy Short called up for Warriors’ one-day tilt as injury replacement

FORMER Gosnells cricketer D’Arcy Short has been named in the Western Warriors Squad for the Matador Cup.

Short has been called up to the squad along with paceman Josh Nicholas to replace Ashton Agar (shoulder) and Shaun Marsh (finger) respectively in the WA squad.

The 26-year-old crossed over from Gosnells to Willetton in the winter months.

Short last played one-day cricket for the Warriors in 2011 against New South Wales where he scored three runs and took two wickets, including that of former Test batsman Simon Katich.

As part of the Matador Cup, the Warriors will play three of their six games at home at the WACA Ground.

Tickets are available at the gate from $10 for adults, $5 for concession and free for children 15 and under.
