Maddington Bulls go down by a kick in top of the table clash with Stirling

Francis CurroComment News

Stirling got the better of Maddington in a tight game, 9.4 (58) to 7.10 (52).

Conditions were tough but Stirling got off to a flyer, playing the ground well and going into the quarter break two goals up.

The second quarter was again all Stirling, with the Maddington boys making simple skill errors and playing their worst half of football for the year, being down by five goals at half-time.

The half-time break was an opportunity for the boys to regroup and Maddington played a solid second half of footy.

Although still four goals down at the final change, Gab Denton had a chance to snatch the draw with 30 seconds left, but it was not to be.

The second-half response was pleasing for Maddington with 11 scoring shots to four.
