Billed as the “the world’s premier” Jackson tribute act, the production last toured the country in 2022 and has since enlisted a new impersonator after the retirement of former lead star Dantanio.

Producer and director Johnny Van Grinsven said he had auditioned thousands of hopefuls across seven countries before landing on new frontman Garth Field, who has a “rare combination” with a background in hip hop and tap, and jazz music.

“Garth had the very rare combination of vocal talent, dance talent, the right looks and most importantly the drive and ambition to rise to the role, to work at being the best in the business,” Van Grinsven said.

“Getting all of those things in one person is extremely hard to find but we’re pretty convinced we have the right person and we’re sure that fans of the show will feel the same once they’ve seen him in action.”

He is joined on stage by a host of dancers and musicians for a night of Jackson’s biggest pop hits, accompanied with newly designed lighting and special effects.
