A MINDARIE teacher lost half his locks to support the Leukaemia Foundation this month.
On March 16, Mindarie Senior College held a World’s Greatest Shave event to help fund research into blood cancers like lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.
Health and Physical Education teacher Mischa Beyeler volunteered to shave his curly locks for the cause and the student who donated the most, Tyron Louange, chose a hairstyle that he had to wear until March 24.

READ NOWThe college community raised more than Mr Beyeler’s $1000 target, with $1144 donated online and another $1245 raised during the mentor and lunch activities.
The college ran sausage sizzles, hair braiding, leg waxing and hair colouring as well as selling treats on the day.
