THE boys who brought us Mmmbop are coming back Down Under to celebrate their 25 years as a band, and they’ll kick off their tour right here in Perth.

Hanson, the trio of brothers who sold over 16 million albums, will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut record, Middle Of Nowhere, which featured Mmmbop.

“Making music together for 25 years is a milestone that we had to acknowledge, and what better way to do it than an anniversary tour,” said keyboardist Taylor Hanson.

Hanson have been releasing albums under their own independent label, 3CG Records, since 2003 including their number one album Underneath.

The group also started the Hanson Brothers Beer Company in 2013 and started The Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Middle Of Everywhere tour comes to Australia in June and will be followed by a release of the album Middle Of Everywhere – The Greatest Hits.

The eldest Hanson brother, Isaac, said: “This year is not only about the two decades of music, it’s about celebrating the incredible community of fans who have been with us, singing along year after year”.
