The celebrity chef and host of The Great Australian Bake Off will treat shoppers to a cooking master class from her newest book at various locations, including Cottesloe, Whitfords, Cannington and Booragoon.
Gare said after what had been a busy year working on her latest cookbook and a range of kitchenware, she was looking forward to showing audiences what they could cook at home.
‘I have to say I’m really proud of Eat In; it’s all about natural product cooked beautifully that has a ‘tada’ factor,’ she said.
‘I like it because it is my family’s and friends’ ‘greatest and best hits’, so I know the recipes are terrific and have already been voted a hit by my clan.
‘Audiences will learn some quick and clever recipes, creating a ‘wow factor’ in a very short time, one of my favourite ways to cook ” I’m looking forward to giving my cooking demonstrations.’
Gare, whose love of food began as a child, said her cooking philosophy was all about cooking dishes quickly with great ingredients and seasonal produce ” a philosophy demonstrated throughout the book.
‘I like to make the most out of cooking simply and love healthy food that tastes delicious and makes you feel good after you have eaten it,’ she said.
‘Cooking is seasonal and always exciting, and when something comes into season, you say ‘great, haven’t seen that for a while’.’
Gare will appear at Garden City on Thursday, October 10, Whitfords City on Friday, October 11, Carousel Shopping Centre Saturday, October 12 and The Boatshed Markets in Cottesloe on Saturday, October 19.
