Bassendean tradie our latest Lotto millionaire

Staff WriterEastern Reporter

A BASSENDEAN tradie is WA’s latest Lotto millionaire after claiming his $1 million division one prize in Wednesday Lotto.

Still wearing her hi-vis workwear, the tradie approached Lotterywest HQ late on Thursday afternoon with the winning ticket safely stored in her lunchbox.

“I’ve checked and rechecked this ticket about 100 times,” the woman said.

“My partner thinks I’m nuts but I’m pretty sure I’ve won the Lotto.”

The tradie’s ticket was soon confirmed as the nation’s only division one winning ticket for Wednesday Lotto.

Sold at Swan Lotteries Kiosk, the winning ticket marks the 40th Division 1 win for Western Australia so far this year with punters now sharing in over $93 million in prize money.

And there is more bounty up for grabs, with Saturday Lotto having a $20 million super draw.
