POLICE have charged Shawn Adam Newton with the murder of mother-of-three Rebecca Jane Gascoigne.
Ms Gascoigne’s body was found in a car on a Mitchell Freeway on-ramp on Saturday July 15.
Police had been searching for Mr Newton for questioning over the matter, and he was arrested yesterday afternoon in a Whitfords pub.

READ NOWMr Newton has been charged with murder, deprivation of liberty and threats to compel the doing of an act.
He has also been charged with two counts of armed robbery, aggravated armed robbery, aggravated home burglary and stealing.
He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
