Woman seriously injured after being hit by car in Bassendean

A woman suffered serious injuries to her legs and an arm after being struck by a vehicle in Bassendean this morning, while two other people also needed treatment.

At about 7.50am, a Mazda 3 Hatch being driven by the 29-year-old Bassendean woman collided with a Ford Ute being driven by a 67-year-old Salter Point man.

The ute was attempting to reverse into a driveway, with the Mazda travelling behind.

While the two drivers were standing at the rear of the ute, it is believed a Ford Falcon sedan being driven by a 60-year-old woman of Bayswater hit the back of the ute, causing injuries to the man and woman.

The man received minor injuries, while the 60-year-old woman driving the Falcon also needed treatment for injuries.

All three were conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 29-year-old woman suffered multiple fractures to her legs and arm.

She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital as a priority.
