Eagles season wraps up

Staff ReporterEastern Reporter

Last weekend was game one of our best-of-three semi-final series against the Lakeside Lightning.

We came into game one very confident, knowing what we needed to do for us to win the game.

They got away from us in the final quarter and we unfortunately couldn’t overcome the deficit in the final minutes of the game.

As we looked to make adjustments heading into game two of the series I was struck down with a pretty serious bout of bronchitis and had to miss the majority of training sessions for the week, and even worse than that I had to sit out Friday night’s game.

The guys put up a brave fight without me but unfortunately, the game turned into a blow out, ending our season and sending Lakeside into a grand final against Wanneroo. The final score was 131 to 75.
