BAYSWATER-MORLEY goes into the Premier Cricket Christmas break in 10th after falling short against Fremantle in their round eight match at Stevens Reserve on Saturday.

The Bears resumed at 4-51 in pursuit of Fremantle’s 237 and pushed the top two sides all the way in a tight contest.

Robbie Guy (71) and Grant Thistle (39) put together an 88-run eighth wicket partnership which threatened to lead the side to an unexpected win.
