Swan Districts appoint Jeff Dennis as new chief executive

FORMER Perth Glory chief executive Jeff Dennis will take over Swan Districts Football Club’s vacant chief executive position, after the club’s month-long selection process.

Mr Dennis previously served as West Perth Football Club’s manager and regional development officer before joining Glory.

His appointment comes after former Swans chief executive Tom Bottrell left the club in December 2016 to return to his original WAFL club, South Fremantle.

“Jeff’s extensive management experience at different levels of three sporting codes made him a standout,” he said.

“His MBA and other tertiary qualifications in marketing and education will be important as the club moves forward on planning for a multi-million redevelopment of club and community facilities at Steel Blue Oval.

“Swans will also benefit from Jeff’s past national and international research trips reviewing sports clubs’ facilities and operations.”

Mr Dennis said he was excited to be offered the “challenging opportunity”.

“I am looking forward to returning to sports management and to helping a great management team achieve the club’s ambitious but achievable objectives,” he said.
