The Monk were named winners in the Best Brew Bar/Pub and Best Restaurant/Caf� categories, whilst coming runner-up in the people’s choice categories of Best Beer and Best Beer Venue. Brewer Paul Wyman was also named runner-up in the Young Brewer of the Year award.
‘We have been finalists before, but to come out on top for two categories was amazing, especially best Brew Bar/Pub which is very competitive,’ Monk operations manager Jonathan Kunz said.
‘At the end of the day, we wouldn’t be able to enter these awards if it wasn’t for our customers; their support keeps us in business.’
