Fremantle Gazette ran an article in 1995 on Matthew Biddiscombe’s timely birth.

The 18-year-old was the first baby born to a founding Dockers member in 1995, born on the first week of the team’s debut season in the AFL.

Only a day old, he was paid a visit from Dockers boss David Hatt, who handed mother Ali a bouquet of purple, red and while flowers to mark the occasion.

Mr Biddiscombe said he was a passionate supporter his whole life and would be making the trip to Melbourne this weekend with his father to watch the Grand Final.

‘You could say my love for footy started literally from birth, it’s a good link between me and footy and is where my passion comes from.’
