Fourteen hats in the ring for council seats

Bryce Luff, Fremantle GazetteFremantle Gazette

Logan Howlett is aiming to hold on to the mantle of Mayor, with his present deputy Kevin Allen and West ward councillor Carol Reeve-Fowkes aiming to fill the position.

Two spots are up in the City’s West ward, with Mr Allen and Tony Romano working to hold their positions.

Two outsiders, Virginia Blackney and former Gazette journalist Lyndsey Wetton, are looking to nab themselves a seat.

Quick-witted and big-hearted councillor Val Oliver will retire from her position on the Central ward, while Bart Houwen will contest to regain his seat.
