Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

CHOCOLATE is the sweet treat everybody loves to eat, and now Fremantle has a whole day dedicated to the delicious food.

The Esplanade Hotel’s new Fremantle Chocolate Market will bring together everything from chocolate pasta and chocolate beer to deep fried Mars bars and will include a DIY hot chocolate station, children’s activities and live music.

Esplanade Hotel marketing manager Abby McDowell said following the big success of their inaugural Fremantle Bacon Festival earlier this year they wanted to celebrate the ultimate comfort food.

“We try to look for upcoming food trends and Perth seems to be exploding with dessert based food businesses at the moment, hence our celebration of chocolate,” she said.

“We have around 20 food and beverage stall holders joining us for the day who will be selling their delicious chocolate creations as well as some providing samples.

“There’ll be a chocolate fountain, cocktails, chocolate pasta, donuts, crepes, chocolate beer, ice cream, milkshakes and more.

“If you love chocolate and want to chill out on a winter’s day, this is for you.”

The Fremantle Chocolate Market is on July 15 from 10am to 4pm at the Esplanade Hotel.
