A NEW monthly event in Fremantle is coupling delicious food with some of the state’s best wine.

The Harbour Master’s Wine Dinner series inaugural night will pair beautifully made food with Margaret River’s Credaro Wines and include a special guest speech from Credaro’s chief winemaker, Trent Kelly.

Esplanade Hotel restaurant and bar manager Thayne Fohrmann said every month would feature a different winery.

“It all starts with a complimentary tasting experience on the first Thursday of the month from 6pm, then there are specials on that wine throughout the month and it all culminates with The Harbour Master Winner Dinner on the last Thursday of the month with a special guest speaker from that winery,” she said.

“Wine and food matching is very popular. It’s not only about going out for a good meal, it’s entertainment.

“If you love good food and wine and meeting new people then you will enjoy this experience immensely.

The Harbour Master’s Wine Dinner’s first event is on July 27 from 7pm.
