Police search for attacker after cowardly attack on an elderly man in his Beeliar home

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident at a residence on Shrike Lane in Beeliar today after a 66-year-old man was assaulted.

The man, who was home alone around 1pm today (April 27), was struck after entering a room.

As a result he fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

After regaining consciousness, he heard a noise and saw a man jumping his side fence.

Despite his attempts to stop him, the man managed to get away.

Police searched the area, but did not locate the offender.

The victim was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital to have his injuries assessed.
