IT’s pleasing to read that more people are travelling on the ferry to South Perth.
I was also pleased that a small tourist ferry is now operating from Elizabeth Quay to Claisebrook.
I have always been an advocate of using our river for passenger ferries for pleasure and an alternative way to get to the city and sporting venues.

READ NOWA good start would be a ferry service to Point Walter every hour with connecting buses from Fremantle and the suburbs.
Point Walter is a very a pleasant part of the river to visit with its safe, protected sandy beach and lots of shady trees.
Tourism and transport are very important to our state – let’s use our river more.
