DESPITE a tough season, Fremantle Dockers women’s captain Kara Donnellan has been dubbed one of the best players in the league after she was named in the inaugural AFLW All-Australian team.

Donnellan played in all but one of the Docker’s games, including a match-winning 24-disposal, two-goal game against Carlton in round 6.

South Fremantle Football Club product Sabrina-Fredrick-Traub, who had a dominant year at the Brisbane Lions, also made the team.

AFL football operations general manager Simon Lethlean said selection in the inaugural team was a big honour.
