Michael Guthrie has been appointed head coach of WA’s under-15 rugby league side and will head to the national championships in Adelaide in June.

Colleague Eddie Proudler will helm the under-18s side at the same competition.

Rounding out the trio is Nicole Roberts, who was picked as an assistant coach for School Sport WA’s under-18 basketball team. She will head with the squad to Canberra in August for an interstate competition.

College principal Noel Woodley said he was proud of what the trio brought to the school.

“The College has such a strong depth to the specialist sport areas, rugby league and netball, and so many of the students are gaining valuable skills because of the expertise of Michael, Eddie and Nicole,” he said.

“I’m confident of great sporting achievements from Atwell students in years to come”.
