Matthew Wilks, Shai Bolton and Antionne Forrest-Yarran were selected in the 25-man squad, with eight selections from WA.

The Flying Boomerangs is a personal development and leadership program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players aged 14 or 15 .

The team will compete at the NAB AFL Under-16 Championships in July and will tour internationally in December.

AFL head of diversity Jason Mifsud said the Flying Boomerangs program was a great opportunity for the best rising indigenous talent in the nation to develop off the field.

‘The Flying Boomerangs will be exposed to elite training and coaching as well as personal development opportunities during the NAB AFL Under-16 Championships and the international high-performance camp,’ he said.
