Perth weather tipped to get stormy this week

PERTH residents may have seen the last of the sun for a few days with storms and possible hail predicted for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a 100 per cent chance of rain in the Perth metropolitan area for the next two days, with heavy falls possible tomorrow.

Up to 35mm could fall in some areas, according to the Bureau.

The weather will take a turn for the worse on Wednesday, with thunderstorms and small hail predicted.

Thursday and Friday should see a return to more moderate weather, with a forecast top of 18C predicted for a partly cloudy Friday.

The Bureau is predicting a 70-80 per cent chance of showers over Saturday and Sunday.
