Opinion: So much for good governance

Alison Gibbons, Karrinyup Action Group, KarrinyupEastern Reporter

AFTER the terrible tragedy in London recently, it is very concerning when the City of Stirling used a “waiver” to explain why they did not enforce a Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) report to be carried out in a bushfire prone zone (27 Prisk Street, Karrinyup).

Especially when it concerns a Uniting Church 4 storey high care development for 120 bedridden elderly residents.

We have asked many times for this BAL report to be undertaken, especially as it is current Legislation, only to be refused.
