Premier Cricket: Mt Lawley and Wanneroo evenly poised after day one

MT Lawley and Wanneroo shared the spoils on day one, with both sides fighting hard throughout the day for a consolation win at Breckler Park in their Round 14 Premier Cricket fixture.

Wanneroo skipper Chris Quelch sent the Hawks in to bat, with the hosts eventually bowled out for 245.

In reply, the Roos are 0-21 and fancying their chances when play resumes next Saturday.

The hosts began well, building partnerships before Matt Dzodzos took control with consistent strikes.
