‘Football will be facilitated by the WA Football Commission and then we have beach activities that are co-ordinated with our east coast organisation Surf Educators Australia and they are coming over to train our young leaders in facilitating beach awareness and water safety.’

ICEA co-ordinator and Cottesloe resident Alice Angeloni (18) has been involved with ICEA since 2009 and she said she was excited about the event on Sunday.

‘I will be taking a community evaluation role and immersing myself in the activities, seeing how everybody else is finding it so that we can get really accurate and authentic feedback from everyone who’s involved so we can keep improving,’ Ms Angeloni said.

ICEA co-ordinator and Nedlands resident Jasirah Bin Hitam (17) will be the MC on the day and she said she was looking forward to the turnout.

‘I’ll be telling everyone where to go, what’s happening during the day, being really funny and keeping everyone entertained,’ she said.
