Super Netball: West Coast Fever coach Markinovich expects team to come good against NSW Swifts

Julian WrightEastern Reporter

WEST Coast Fever Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich is confident the team will “bounce back” in tonight’s clash against NSW Swifts after its recent loss to the Melbourne Vixens.

After sticking with the Vixens for three quarters, Fever conceded 17 goals to 11 in the final term last Saturday, falling to their fourth loss from as many games in the process.

Despite sitting winless after the first month of Super Netball, Marinkovich was adamant Fever would deliver a strong showing from tonight.

“We’re a team that will stick together and we are fighting it,” she said.

“We’ve got our performance plan and because we are seeing those improvements the girls have got to hang in there and believe because I certainly do and we have the full support of the club.”

Marinkovich said the team was improving every week.

“We are a team that takes accountability for what we do and we want to stand up,” she said.

West Coast Fever and NSW Swifts play at HBF Stadium at 6.30pm.
