Mundaring Shire president and councillor recognised at WALGA awards

MUNDARING Shire President David Lavell and Councillor John Daw were among council members and officers recently honoured at an awards ceremony.

The WA Local Government Association honours program recognises contribution to local government and dedication to community.

Cr Lavell was one of 11 elected members presented with a local government merit award for distinguished service.

He became Shire President in 2015 and has served two separate terms as a councillor since 2001.

Cr Daw received an award for long and loyal service.
