POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance after an elderly woman’s purse was stolen from a trolley at a Mundaring supermarket on Saturday.

Just before 11am, a 79-year-old Stoneville woman was looking at items on the shelf of a shop on Hartung Street when a woman unzipped her handbag, which was in the trolley, and removed a purse.

The woman then left the store with the victim’s purse.

Police said the offender had olive skin and was approximately 40-50 years old with a solid build.
