Swan View youths restore bikes as part of Dismantle’s BikeRescue

Lauren PedenHills Avon Valley Gazette

BIKES restored by youth during workshops in Swan View encouraged teamwork while improving communication, bike mechanic and maintenance tool skills.

Seen and Heard staff and facilitators from Dismantle’s BikeRescue project ran six workshops at the Swan View Youth Centre.

The sessions gave 10 young people the chance to develop and learn new skills, such as dismantling and sanding bike frames, spray painting and rebuilding a bike from scratch.
