Gidgegannup oval lights upgrade a game-changer say coaches

SPORTS coaches are hoping a $100,000 upgrade to floodlights at their local oval will be a game-changer in Gidgegannup.

Gidgegannup Recreation Club president Paul Carroll said funding for the LED lighting would improve the facility to lead any other groups in WA.

“The Gidgegannup Recreation Club, its members, all associated clubs and the Gidgegannup community are grateful to Ken Wyatt (Hasluck MHR) for his assistance in obtaining the funding towards this very important piece of infrastructure at Percy Cullen (Oval),” Mr Carroll said.

Mr Wyatt said the new floodlights would ensure year-round participation in sport in a first-class facility close to home.
