Tommy Gun’s salon fires up in Joondalup

TOMMY Gun’s is a place where men can get a hair cut while drinking a beer and watching sport on television.

The Canadian barbershop recently opened its first WA location at Lakeside Joondalup in a bid to cater to the “growing fashion sense in our men”, according to manager and part owner Thaarak Dhaamoda-ran.

As well as haircuts that range from a traditional ‘short back and sides’ to the more modern zero fades, skin fades and hair tattooing, the barbershop also offers face shaves and hot towel massages.

“We have a unique check-in system that allows existing users to just key in their mobile number and choose the required service and walk away knowing the approximate waiting time,” Mr Dhaam-odaran said.

“A notification SMS will be sent to the customer when they can be served.

“Once they are ready, they are provided their choice of complimentary beverage including coffee, tea, juices or beer.”

Customers can also watch Foxtel, which is built in the mirrors, or be given an iPadduring the cut.

“Any guy from a toddler to an adult who requires haircuts and shaves should come and see us,” Mr Dhaamodaran said.

“We do have the occasional woman who wants an undercut or a hair tattoo or just a normal short haircut, which we cater to as well.”

Tommy Gun’s hopes to open more locations in WA.
