City of Joondalup voyages to the sea for this year’s Little Feet Festival

TAKE a voyage to the sea at this year’s Little Feet Festival.

The free City of Joondalup event for children aged 12 and under returns to the grounds of ECU Joondalup from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, October 22.

Themed ‘A Voyage to the Sea’, families can explore the natural wonderland of the ocean through creative workshops, sensory play and live performances inspired by underwater sea creatures, tropical fish and mermaids.

The program includes Ocean Sounds with Felicity Groom, Shazzam Kids with Famous Sharron and illustrator Samantha Hughes, Seaside Sensory Play with stories of mythical mermaids and pirate, Mer-Yays! to design and assemble an illustrated mermaid and the Toddler Play Zone with climbing gear, play tables and soft building cushions for children aged up to four.

There will also be face painting, roving entertainment and food trucks and vendors.

Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said the Little Feet Festival would unofficially kick off the City’s free summer events program.

“It’s all about having fun,” he said.

“Families come from across the metropolitan area to attend this event in huge numbers each year and I look forward to bringing along my own children once again to take part in all the fun and laughter.”
