It is alleged the 22-year-old man waited for the man to park, before threatening him with a can of pepper spray and stealing cash.

But he hit a rocky road when he attempted to leave the van – through the service window – and was restrained by the 40-year-old and another man until police arrived.

The 22-year-old is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court today.
