A JOONDALUP man has admitted to committing obscene acts in front of teenage girls in Beldon and has been granted strict home detention bail as he awaits sentencing.

Darin Sean Caldwell (47) yesterday faced Joondalup Magistrates Court, where he pleaded guilty to one count of an obscene act in public and two counts of indecently dealing with a child aged between 13 and 16.

The man had been in custody for more than three weeks while his suitability for bail was assessed, after police detained him on the morning of the incident.

He is facing court in relation to committing obscene acts in his car in front of girls at multiple locations on August 21, including the Coles supermarket carpark.

He is due in the District Court on November 10 for a sentence mention.
